What I'm Pinning Wednesday

I had every intention of posting this when I got home this afternoon, but emails had to be answered and work had to be done. Then I napped for about an hour, got up, went to church and now here I am.
I am not posting this as a linky anymore. If anyone is still posting this on Wednesday, that's great, but I only got about 5 each time I did it, so I've decided to stop. I've also been out of the loop with this post for the past 2 or 3 weeks, so it's just easier this way.

Tonight, I'm going to share my pins from my Technology files. I'm going to post the videos that I use with my kiddos during calendar time. I love singing with my students at this time, but adding these videos has been awesome and has really had them engaged. I have several that I use, but these are my favorites right now.

1. This is our Days of the Week song that we use. They love the "rap back" and they even clap the syllables when saying the words and don't realize it!

2. This is our Months of the Year song. I love that it shows how the months start over every year. That's a hard concept to teach.

3. When we count how many days we've been in school, we use this count to 100's song. The kiddos know that when we get to 100, we have our big party! So they love this one, plus it gets them up and moving.

4. This is one of the many alphabet songs that we use. I like that it shows the letter and then the picture that starts with that letter. Great reinforcement.

Like I said, these are just a few of my favorites.  There are several others and I am loving my SmartBoard and that I can incorporate my videos into the slides and play them from the board!

What songs do you like to use during calendar time?

  1. I use Jack Hartmann's Let's Start this Day when we begin our calendar time. I also use Shari Sloane's Days of the Week, and Bingo Bango Bongo to count by ones, fives, tens and twos.

  3. I have all these on my Pinterest board -- so great to be able to keep them in one place. We especially like "Numbers Help Me Count" this year.
